Addition specimens were sent for permanent section. As much tumor wall that could be safely resected was removed. The wound was then copiously irrigated with antibiotic-containing solution. Hemostasis was then achieved with the use of bipolar cautery. Somatic sensory and motor signals were again tested and thought to be all remaining at base line functions. The wound was then closed in layers utilizing interrupted 0 Vicryl on the deep muscle fascia. Subcutaneous tissues were closed utilizing inverted interrupted 2-0 Vicryl suture. The skin was then closed with the 3-0 Monocryl suture in a running subcuticular stitch. Dermabond was applied to the skin edges. Patient was then flipped back into the supine position on a ___________ bed. Patient was extubated in the operating room by anesthesia without incident. Prior to leaving the OR patient was awake, alert, and moving all extremities strongly. There were no complaints. Instrument and sponge count correct.

Directing youth away from crime, and dealing with juveniles who commit these serious crimes, is increasing in importance as the crime rates among juveniles continue to rise. People who oppose the idea to try juveniles as adults have the opinion that the government should strengthen the rehabilitation programs for juveniles because using adult consequences is unfair to juveniles. This idea is only making crime worse because the juveniles know that they will have an easy time in the court system, unlike adults committing the exact same crime. By using the idea that juveniles should be held accountable in the court of law as adults are for committing the same crimes, we will see a significant change for the better in the juvenile crime rates. It provides an example of the practical realities of two corporate leaders in Malaysian context whom one of them, as successful, while the other one is unsuccessful. He gives interpretation was that there was force from GIG on him to transpo rt the money to be used as a performance consideration payment for the RM1.6 billion King Dome project. Therefore, he used the autocratic manner to make the decision. This happens because there were no correct procedures for projects to be ready and submitted for approval by the board. According to Linear Corp executives director Mervis Nevis, prior to this, for three years, they were no correct procedures for project to be ready and submitted for approval. Why the payment has been made to GIG? This is because Linear want to show that they have the ability to undertake the King Dome Project. Therefore RM 36 million was paid out to GIG as performance consideration. Linear has also defaulted on its loan obligations, so that Linear has decided to sell its cooling system-manufacturing plant in Prai Industrial Estate and used the proceeds as working capital. Linear also would study whether the King Dome project was still workable. If the project can proceed, there will no problem in getting financing. If it not, Rajendram had given an indemnity letter to say that the RM 36 million will be returned to Linear by November 30. Technology in Auditing Using Benford’s Law What started out as a curious observation by an astronomer in 1881 has the potential to have a significant impact on the audit profession 125 years later. In 1881, the astronomer â€Å"Simon Newcomb noticed that the front pages of his logarithmic tables frayed faster than the rest of the pages†¦Ã¢â‚¬ . Newcomb concluded â€Å"the first digit is oftener 1 than any other digit†. Newcomb quantified the probability of the occurrence of the different digits as being the first digit and as well as the second digit. For the most part, Newcomb just considered it a curiosity and left it at that. (Caldwell 2004) In the 1920’s, a physicist at the GE Research Laboratories, Frank Benford, thought it more than a curiosity and conducted extensive testing of naturally occurring data and computed the expected frequencies of the digits. In Table 1, there is a table of these expected frequencies for the first four positions. Benford also determined that the data could not be constrained to only show a restricted range of numbers such as market values of stock nor could it be a set of assigned numbers such as street addresses or social security numbers. (Nigrini 1999) The underlying theory behind why this happens can be illustrated using investments as an example. If you start with an investment of $100 and assume a 5% annual return, it would be the 15th year before the value of the investment would reach $200 and therefore change the first digit value to 2. It would only take an additional 8 years to change the first digit vale to 3, an additional 6 years to change the first digit to 4, etc. Once the value of the investment grew to $1,000 the time it would take to change the first digit (going from $1,000 to $2,000) would revert back to the same pace as it took to change it from $100 to $200. Unconstrained naturally occurring numbers will follow this pattern with remarkable predictability. (Ettredge and Srivastava 1998) In 1961, Roger Pinkham tested and proved that Benford’s law was scale invariant and therefore would apply to any unit of measure and any type currency. In the 1990’s, Dr Mark Nigrini discovered a powerful auditing tool using Benford’s law. He was able to determine that most people assume that the first digit of numbers would be distributed equally amount the digits and that people that make up numbers tend to use numbers starting with digits in the mid range (5, 6, 7).

How to Reduce Accident on Our Road?

Time to time, half a million of Malaysians died because of road accidents. Malaysia is the country that has the highest accident rate in the world. The rise in the number of road accidents is indeed worrying. Even the road safety campaigns aimed at reducing road accidents have met with little success. Only when there is a change in the mindsets of road users can we expect a decrease in the number of road accidents. Even though we cannot prevent the accidents from happening totally but we can help to reduce the many accidents to its minimum stage by taking the following several steps and ideas are suggested. The first and foremost, every driver should be advised to take good care of their vehicle. We have to make sure that our vehicles are in good running condition and rectify them at the earliest before travelling. It’s better to be shocked and to realize something was wrong while we were in the garage, rather than realizing the same while we were driving. If we are not sure with our own auto-mobile engineering skills, we should check our vehicle problem by using the help of mechanic. We should service our vehicle regularly as recommended by the manufacturer. So, we can drive our vehicles and arrived to our destination safely. Secondly, every driver should do not speed while driving their vehicles. This is the main reason that contributes to the road accident happen in Malaysia. The government should introduce deterrence to reduce the accident on our road. For instance, the government can install speed cameras in the accident-prone place. This will help authorities to identify and take legal action to the driver that do not follow the speed limit. Besides that, every driver should obey road sign and traffic rules. Every legal that have been made are for our own safety. On the other words, we have to follow the rules and we should try our best to prevent accident to happen frequently. In addition, we can reduce accidents on the road by introducing heavy penalties for traffic offenses. Authorities can increase the summonses for the drivers that break the rules. Every offender is compulsory to pay the summons. If they cannot make a payment, they will send to the prisons. This will prevent people to do not make the offense for the second time because of fear with punishment that have been made. Moreover, an individual’s penalty can be considered a mirror at which other people can look and try not to do the same thing. This method will help to minimize the accident from happening. Furthermore, we can take action to control this problem by educating the public on road safety. The government or NGO should educate people through a campaign or advertisement on television or radio. The public should be exposed to the way safety while driving a vehicle on the road. The government can implement campaigns to instil awareness to all Malaysians. In addition, the younger generation should be exposed to the rules of the road in Malaysia. So they can follow the legal and reduce the accident that happens on our road. As a conclusion, the road users must implement their obligations. So, they can guarantee their safety. Accordingly, all parties need to work together to mobilize energy to overcome this problem completely. Collective efforts that I suggest should be implemented immediately. If the above measures supported by the people of Malaysia, I'm sure the amount of road accidents in Malaysia can be reduced effectively.
